In the simplest terms depression serves as a a chemical imbalance inside the brain, antidepressants work towards correcting this imbalance. They reduce the removal of certain chemicals from your brain. Basically these chemicals are serotonin and norepinephrine that are also called neurotransmitters, and so are responsible for taking care of our swift changes in moods and also certain alternative activities like eating, sleeping, injuries and our thoughts, if these are generally maintained inside brain for longer they can become mood enhancers making the depressed person feel better and happier. When these are made more readily available in the brain they restore the natural chemical balance giving the sufferer some relief. These medicines recieve treatment on restoring the person's interest within the regular, everyday living and help them live a fuller and happier life.
